The company was selected to present at the New York City Techstars Investor Spotlight held at J.P. Morgan Headquarters on January 17th, 2023.
In front of hundreds of investors, Co-CEO Marc Steren outlined the company's plan to deliver positive impact to school systems across the country using the University Startups SaaS platform in 3 key areas; college preparation, workforce readiness, and social entrepreneurship. “Our goal is to reach 3 million students, and this goal is both achievable and necessary to transform the lives of students and communities across the country,” said Steren.
University Startups was one of a very select group of companies that participated in the inaugural Techstars Washington DC powered by J.P. Morgan Accelerator tied to a new $80M fund raised through the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, with a particular focus on diverse entrepreneurs traditionally undervalued and overlooked by other venture capital sources.
