Washington DC, March 21st, 2023: University Startups (USU) announced today that it is partnering with Georgetown University’s Pivot Program, which provides formerly incarcerated individuals (returning citizens) with re-entry programs and professional development.
University Startups will provide workforce readiness courses for the 2023 cohort of students. On average, 3 out of 4 University Startups students feel more hopeful about future possibilities after taking just one course.
"We are delighted to work with University Startups. The USU programs will bring key skills to our students through their Workforce Readiness courses," said Dr. Alyssa Lovegrove, Executive Director and Academic Director of the Georgetown Pivot Program.
Through this partnership, University Startups will provide courses on topics such as writing resumes and cover letters, as well as preparing for job interviews. The program will also focus on professionalism, work ethic, and key networking skills.

Pivot Program students will begin University Startups coursework in March of 2023.
